Fixed location food pantries are limited in the kinds of food they carry and are sometimes difficult to access due to lack of transportation or when they are open. This is where mobile food pantries save the day by distributing food using a dry/refrigerated trucks.
These mobile food pantries are able to drive to different communities that don’t have a fixed location set up and serve up great food.
Some mobile food pantries will arrive at scheduled stops, set out items on folding tables surrounding the vehicle, and open the space for residents you to “shop.”
